In today's series we are going to know about 'Disney Monorail System ' - 

Every one has dream to visit Disney World . Very beautifully structured this amazing world having amazing Monorail too ! 
  Most of the Indian people come o know about Monorail , when this launched in Mumbai as Phase -1 from Wadala o Chembur . But Monorail has huge interesting history - lets go on Disney Monorail ride ------

The Disneyland Monorail System (originally, the Disneyland ALWEG Monorail) opened on June 14, 1959, as a sightseeing attraction inTomorrowland in Disneyland. There was Two Trains - Red & Blue ! --- like our Mumbai Monorail . Later on they added Yellow Train as well as Green Train on mainline . But after some years those trains started giving maintenance work , due to this - disney management decided to Launch ' Mark 5 train ' Series . The older trains were stripped to the chassis and rebuilt as Mark V trains.The new trains also sported closed passenger compartments (with windows that could be opened) and pneumatic doors. The route was Disney Hotel to every area of disney world. After time being - in the year 2000 - Another Stations like  Downtown Disney opened & route also exeeded with new area of disney world like  Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa as well as showcasing the new park . After 2004 , management again started new modification monorail , hence they started removing old trains against new trains . There were Orange Train , Yellow Train , Blue Train , Green Train & Purple Train .

MONORANJAN - 1

Mumbai Monorail is a monorail system in the city of Mumbai, India . This is India's first Monorail Project . But What is Actually Monorail is ?? How It is made ? What's the History ? 
Here , We are going to know various Interesting things about Monorail .

MONORAIL 

 A single rail serving as a track for passenger or freight vehicles. In most cases rail is elevated, but monorails can also run at grade, below grade or in subway tunnels. Vehicles are either suspended from or straddle a narrow guideway. Monorail vehicles are WIDER than the guideway that supports them.   

1825 - Cheshunt Railway 




The first passenger carrying monorail celebrated a grand opening June 25th, 1825. It had a one-horse power engine...literally. Based on a 1821 patent by Henry Robinson Palmer, the Cheshunt Railway was actually built to carry bricks, but made monorail history by carrying passengers at its opening.


1876 - Philadelphia Centennial


General Le-Roy Stone's steam driven monorail was first demonstrated at the United States Centennial Exposition in 1876. The ornately designed double-decker vehicle had two main wheels, the rear one driven by a rotary steam engine.

1876 - Sonoma Prismoidal


This 7-mile wooden monorail was proposed to be the first rail line built to connect the Northern California city of Sonoma with a steam ship landing at San Pablo Bay. Only three and a half miles were built, between Norfolk and Sonoma. The line operated from November 23, 1876 to May 5, 1877. 

1878 - Bradford & Foster Brook Monorail


A modified version of General Stone's Centennial monorail was put into use on a 6.4 kilometer line between Bradford and Gilmore, Pennsylvania. It was built to transport oil drilling equipment and personnel to Derrick City.

1886 - Enos Electric Railway


The Enos Electric Railway, the first suspended monorail, was tested and demonstrated on the grounds of the Daft Electric Company in Greenville, New Jersey in 1886. It was built of light, open steelwork rather than massive wooden beams that most monorails to this point had used. 

1888 - The Listowel & Ballybunion Railway



The Lartigue Railway Construction Company opened a 14.5 kilometer steel-railed monorail on March 1, 1888. It linked the town of Ballybunion, on the west coast of Ireland, with the market town of Listowel. The only passenger-carrying monorail in the British Isles for many years, it ran until 1924. Rising operational costs and road transport forced it out of business.

  आयुश्यामध्ये अनेक मित्र भेटतात पण स्मरणात राहावे असे फारच थोडे ! राजेश आढाव त्यातीलच एक . monorail  च्या job मध्ये senior cum friend असलेला हा सर्वानाच मित्र म्हणून आपलासा वाटणारा , सुख दुःख share करणारा , शिकवणारा , गरजेच्या वेळी मदत करणारा असा उत्तम मनुष्य !
  job ला joint झाल्यानंतर माझी आणि राजेश ची ओळख झाली ती एक senior captain म्हणून ! खरच खूप शिकायला मिळाले ह्याच्याकडून ! TRAIN कशी चालवायची , तेव्हा कशी काळजी घ्यायची आणि इतर अनेक गोष्टी त्याने शिकवल्या . कधी TRAIN  RELATED  DOUBTS  त्याला विचारले आणि त्याने उत्तर नाही दिले असे  झाले नाही नाही .
  मदतीसाठी देखील पुढे ; मग ती पैशांची असो कि SUPPORT ची ! समंजस स्वभाव !
 ट्रेन चालवायची कशी हे पहायचे न तर राजेश सोबत तो चालवताना अनुभवणे हा होता . मी मुद्दामहून त्यासोबत अनेकदा गेलोय . CAPTAIN  ला असावेत असे सर्व गुण त्याच्याकडे आहेत . नीटनीटका , SHIRT  PROPER इस्त्री केलेले असा हा एकदा का CAPTAIN च्या SEAT वर बसला कि आधी देवाला नमस्कार करून मगच चावी फिरवायचा . त्याचा असा सुंदर गुण मी आजवर कोणत्याही TRAIN CAPTAIN कडे पाहिला नाही . MONORAIL ची SMOOTH  DRIVING  अनुभवायची तर राजेश चालवताना !!
  असो !
  त्याने दिलेलं आमच्या पहिल्या BATCH च TRAINING  आम्ही विसरणार नाही . त्याचा लज्जतदार जेवणाचा डब्बा तर नाहीच !
राजेश ला त्याच्या भावी CAREER  साठी मनापासून शुभेच्छा !!

Monorail – São Paulo, Brazil

Bombardier Transportation is delivering its game-changing INNOVIA Monorail 300 system for the new São Paulo Metro Line 15. Fast and cost-effective to build, the new monorail system will provide mass transit capacities for São Paulo’s citizens. 


The new line, known as Expresso Tiradentes, will run between the Vila Prudente and Cidade Tiradentes urbanizations and connect with the São Paulo Metro Line 2. The journey currently takes almost two hours by car: the new INNOVIAMonorail 300 system will reduce that journey time to approximately 50 minutes and benefit 500,000 users daily. When fully equipped the monorail system will have the capacity to transport 48,000 passengers per hour per direction (pphpd). 

Bombardier is designing, building and supplying the system-wide electrical and mechanical (E&M) elements forINNOVIA Monorail 300 system. This includes 54 seven-car trains (378 cars) with CITYFLO 650 automatic train control technology for driverless operation. Bombardier is also providing project management, systems integration and engineering, testing and commissioning for the new trains and signaling. The new line will be 24 km long with 17 stations. 
Engineering, design and testing for the first seven-car monorail train is centered at Bombardier’s site in Kingston, Canada. The remaining 53 trains (371 cars) are being built in Brazil at Bombardier’s new state-of-the-art production facility in Hortolândia. Line 15 will be opened in phases and be in full operation in 2016.

I was all fresh when i  left my College life with my head full of nostalgic memories . I was also so tense as I had no job in hand and then things happened so sudden that i didn’t get the time to think about. Someone said truly :-

"If your Bad Days are ON then don’t worry dude your Good Days are waiting for you."

My Bestest Friend ; Aniruddha guide me & told me to read !! श्री गुरूचरित्र !! ( Shree Gurucharitra ) daily . I started reading with full of believes  .  My another friend Shonali also prayed to God for my better job . ( ambadnya : Shonali ) At second   note my uncle Lalit Shivkar told me about  interviews  at  Mumbai Monorail  .  I went for the  Interview - &  with all those  bless  -  I  selected  for Mumbai monorail   project as a ' Train Captain ' . 

 I still remember the first day of Revenue Service  . What a crowd ...that day !! People were cheering , enjoying !! It was morning 06;00 hrs Chembur . My Train was packed with people . As i came in front of them , they started greeting to me & my colleague captain . They were shaking hands with us , Taking photos with us , we were just feeling like celebrity   . Still Today after one year , Every one have attraction about trai captain's work . Today also when we came in front of people while changing our captain's cab ; they looks at us like Star . They come to talk with us . Ask us various questions , Takes Photos !! Blesss !! Ambadnya !!! 

Time has moved along at rapid pace and sometimes even forget the day when it starts and it ends. This only comes when you get interest in your job and work from HEART.While traveling, eating, sleeping you think about work and its progress. 

and again Thanks & Ambadnya to My Bapu , My Mom & Dad ; who made mw capable for this Job , My Bestest friend ; Shonali who gave me support in my each step of Life , My uncle Lalit & all my Train captain colleagues & our Boss Mr. Paul Raj Tamilsilvan .
